Move to Orange Phase results in AC and FC closures

Friday afternoon the Province of New Brunswick announced that Zone 1 (Moncton area, including Sackville) and Zone 5 (Campbellton region) would be moving back to the Orange level of the Province’s Recovery Plan, as of midnight tonight, due to an increase in COVID-19 cases. 

While post-secondary institutions are permitted to operate in the Orange level, all athletics and recreation facilities and services are cancelled, effective immediately, as per the Province’s regulations. Masks continue to be mandatory in public spaces whether indoors or outdoors, and no outdoor gatherings of 10 or more are permitted in this phase. 

Accordingly, activities in the Athletics Centre and Fitness Centre are cancelled until further notice.
