The Mount Allison Volleyball Mounties played host to Halifax's Mount Saint Vincent Mystics on Sunday in their first home action of the season. The Mystics won three sets to none, with wins of 25-17, 25-13, and 25-18. Third year Mountie Rachel Van Gestel of Lower Onslow, Nova Scotia and rookie Mountie Callie MacDonald of Summerside, Prince Edward Island lead the Mounties attack with 3 kills each. Second year Mountie Brooke Gillespie lead the team with 15 attempts.
For the Mystics, Maddison Urquhart and Jasmine Smith each had 6 kills. The Mystics improve to 2-0 with the win and MTA drops to 0-2. The Mounties host Holland College on Sunday November 5th. Come out and support your Mounties.
