Sackville, NB - The Mount Allison Mounties hosted CIS # 8 Cape Breton Capers and lost 3-0 at Alumni Field in Sackville on Sunday afternoon.
The Mounties hung tough with CBU through the first half for 32 minutes before Caper Ali Fahie burned the twine. CBU led 1-0 at the break.
Mountie keeper, Tessa Ritchie (Ottawa, ON) turned back 6 of 7 in the first 45 and 8 of 11 for the match.
Additional Cape Breton goals came off the toes of Madison Goodliffe and Chelsea Foote in the second frame.
After weekend play, the Mounties have a 1-3-0 record and hold 7th place in the 10 team loop.
The Mounties hit the road for games at St. Francis-Xavier (24 September) and Cape Breton (25 September).
