(SACKVILLE, NB) Looking to build on an eventful 2-2 draw with the Université de Moncton on Friday, Mount Allison's men's soccer team welcomed the Memorial Sea-Hawks to Sackville to conclude the Homecoming weekend slate.
Turnovers and fouls by the Mounties led to chances falling the way of Memorial in the first half, with a goal scored in the 40th minute by the Sea-Hawks being waved off due to an offside.
Memorial struck first in injury time with a well-placed left footed shot by Brent Hennebury (Lawn, NL) assisted by Alexandre Nunes (St. John's, NL) which took the visitors up one at the break.
The Sea-Hawks kept their momentum rolling into the second half with Colin Connors (St. John's, NL) doubling the lead in the 52nd minute, finishing his 1-on-1 chance against the keeper. Connors found the scoresheet again in the 84th, assuring victory for Memorial by a final score of 3-0.
Mount Allison (0-3-3) will look to get a result Friday in Antigonish against StFX, kickoff is slated for 7:15 p.m.
Memorial (4-3-1) are on the road next to take on Cape Breton on October 13th.
