Mount Allison Women’s Volleyball is pleased to Announce New Recruits for the 2018-19 Season

Mount Allison Women’s Volleyball is pleased to introduce the following incoming players for 2018-2019.

Madi MacTavish, from Fredericton, NB, will be joining the Mounties volleyball team in September of 2018. She is one of the elite players with the Reds volleyball program. She helped her team to a very recent provincial championship at the 18U level. She was also a tournament all star at last year’s 17U championships. She will be going to Volleyball Canada Nationals for the second year in a row and has been a member of Team NB for the past three years. Madi is a very strong outside hitter who will be a valuable addition to our MtA program.

Sophie Landry, from Charlo, NB, is one of the best setters in Atlantic Canada. She has been part of the VNB elite provincial squad and has represented NB at National tournaments. Her team captured a silver medal at a recent National Francophone Games. She has also represented her region at Acadian Games competitions. Sophie has superior athletic ability and her vast experience will give us one of the best setters in the ACAA. We look forward to her joining Mountie Volleyball in September 2018.

Jadyn Boyles is from Calgary, Alberta, where she has played for the Calgary Dino’s program since 2015. She has helped her teams win 3 provincial championships in that time and has had 3 top 8 finishes at National Championships. She has won the Calgary City championship while playing with her high school team as a grade 11 student. That same year she was female athlete of the year. Jadyn is a strong outside hitter who has a very high volleyball IQ. Perhaps she gets some of that from her Dad, Kevin Boyles, who played for several years on Canada’s national team. Jadyn will be a great addition to our team starting in September 2018.
