Tigers spoil Mounties home opener

The Dalhousie Tigers defeat the Mount Allison Mounties during the Mounties' home opener 3-1. This is DAL's second win, starting the 2018-19 AUS season strong.

DAL took the lead in the 34th minute with Olivia MacIntyre's goal. Jensen Hudder snuck in another in the 39th minute, ending the half 2-0 Tigers.

Jensen Hudder came out strong, scoring her second goal of the match 2 minutes into the second half, DAL's third point of the game.

Mounties' striker Taryn MacMillan didn't give up the fight, scoring Mount A's first goal of the game and of the season in the 82nd minute. This set fire to the Mounties, who fought hard for the rest of the game, but no luck as the game ended 3-1 for the Dalhousie Tigers.

The Subway Player of the Game is awarded to fourth-year Dalhousie Tiger, number 13, Rachelle Lalande.

The Mounties face the UPEI Panthers on Friday, September 14th at 5:00PM. The Tigers travel to Fredericton to take on the UNB Varsity Red's in a double header weekend with games on Saturday, September 15th and Sunday, September 16th.
