The Mount Allison Mounties women’s hockey program is pleased to announce that Terry Rhindress has been named as the team’s new head coach. Rhindress, from Riverview, NB, joined the Mounties as an assistant coach before the 2016-2017 season.
Rhindress has spent the last 4 seasons as the Head Coach of the Moncton Vitos of the New Brunswick Junior Hockey League (NBJHL). While serving as head coach, Rhindress and the Vitos won 3 league championships and they also won one Atlantic Junior B Championship (Don Johnson Cup).
Prior to his stint with the Moncton Vitos, Rhindress served two years as Head Coach and General Manager with the Bridgewater Lumberjacks of the Maritime Hockey League (Junior A). Rhindress also has experience working with the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL), both as assistant coach with the Acadie Bathurst Titan and as a scout with the Drummondville Voltigeurs. While with Drummondville, Rhindress was part of a team that won the Presidents Cup (QMJHL championship).
Terry is no stranger to Hockey Canada’s program of excellence either, having served as an assistant coach with Team Atlantic at the Under 17 level and an assistant coach at the 2011 Canada Winter Games.
