Kemp Fry Invitational - Day 3 results

(Halifax, N.S.) – On the third and final day of Dalhousie's Kemp-Fry Invitational Swim Meet, the Tigers won 10 of the 16 individual races and captured both 400m medley relays. 16 swimmers met U SPORTS championship qualifying times during the preliminaries and finals.  

Dalhousie's Lise Cinq-Mars won both the 200m freestyle and 50m butterfly events, posting U SPORTS qualifying times. Not to be outdone, Alec Karlsen met his mark while winning the 200m freestyle event. He led a Dalhousie sweep in the 200m IM, with Jackson Sinclair and Calum Kershaw finishing in second and third-place respectively. 

Isabel Sarty had another great day of racing for the Tigers, posting U SPORTS qualifying times in the 100m and 200m freestyle events. She won both events, leading a Dalhousie-sweep of the 200m with Claire Yurkovich placing second and earning a national-qualifying time. Meg Mackay placed third in the event. 

Gavin Dyke took first place in both the 100m and 200m freestyle events, reaching U SPORTS qualifying standards in both events. Sam Cusimano won the 50m breaststroke in very tight race, while Tyler Immel-Herron won the 100m backstroke in a U SPORTS qualifying time. 

Liem Brett and Adam Deutsch were Acadia's first-place finishers, with Brett taking first place in the in the 50m butterfly. Deutsch won the 200m breaststroke. Kelsea Vessey placed second in the 200m butterfly with a U SPORTS qualifying time. Alison MacEachern also made her mark in the event with a third-place finish. She also posted a U SPORTS qualifying time in the 50m butterfly event. Jessica Pelletier earned a trip to nationals with a second-place finish in the 100m backstroke.  

Memorial's Jasmine Foran won both the 50m and 200m breaststroke events, qualifying for the national championships in the process. Charli LeBlanc won the 100m backstroke event and was second in the 100m freestyle. She posted U SPORTS qualifying times in both events. 

Olivia Feshuck was the top performer for Mount Allison, winning the women's 200m IM. 

Dalhousie hosts the next AUS meet at Dalplex. Races take place January 20 and 21, 2018
