Mounties win in OT over visiting Seawolves

The Mount Allison men's basketball team, depleted with injury and sickness, pulled out a much needed win over the visiting UNBSJ Seawolves, 79-77 in overtime on Sunday.

Second year forward James French hit two free throws with 0.2 seconds remaining to help move the Mounties to 2-2 in ACAA league play. Second year guard Brett Curtis led the Mounties with 21 points while Trevor Schulz from Richmond, BC added 15 and 13 rebounds in his first start of the season. Jeshua Becker added 13 points and Sam Pierson had 11 points.

The garnet and gold hit the road on Saturday to play the improved Kings College Blue Devils in a 3pm start before returning home this Sunday in a 4pm start vs the Dal AC Rams.
