Mounties Men's Basketball pleased to announce new recruit

Mounties Basketball coach Steve Chapman is pleased to announce the commitment of Sam Pierson to attend Mount Allison this Fall. The 6"5 Pierson hails from Kingston, Ontario where he played 5 years at Holy Cross High School. He will be joining a veteran returning core for MtA who already have commitments from 6'4 Rothesay High's Matt Baker, 6'5 Richmond, BC transfer Trevor Schulz and most recently 6'3 Ite Adekeye from Orangeville Prep in Ontario.

Pierson helped lead his Holy Cross team to 3 consecutive AAA OFSAA appearances. Pierson has also competed for the Kingston Impact OBA team the past 6 years assisting his team in 2018 to a spot in Division 1 provincials. According to Chapman, "Sam is a very good scorer of the basketball, has very good range offensively and has excellent length and versatility to play anywhere from the guard to the forward position. He will add to our overall size and depth next year and will compliment our returning players and other new recruits quite nicely. We are very pleased to have Sam on board with us at Mount Allison". Pierson is an excellent student and will be entering a Bachelor of Science program this Fall.
