Football Mounties finalize coaching staff

We are happy to announce 2 new additions to our coaching staff for the upcoming season.

Zack Clarke of Sackville, NS will be joining the Mounties as Run Game Coordinator working side by side with new Offensive Coordinator Kyle Graves. Clarke will also assist with special teams. Zack played his University Football at Acadia University as a running back and won AUS Championships with the Axemen in 2011 and 2012. In 2013 Zack played in the CIS East-West Bowl for Team East.

Following his 5-year career at Acadia he played one season for the Ottawa Sooners of the CJFL finishing as a finalist in the OFC. Most recently Zack coached Running backs with the Axemen in 2017, winning an AUS Championship. Zack has also worked in strength and conditioning with Acadia Performance Training in 2015 and in 2018-2019 and in Ottawa privately with Elite Performance Academy from 2015-2017. Zack has graduated from Acadia with a Bachelor of Education, completed his Undergraduate Degree in Kinesiology and has a Diploma in Sport Business Management from Algonquin College.

The Mounties also would like to welcome a familiar face in graduating offensive lineman Sawyer King, who will serve as assistant offensive line coach. From Saint John, NB, King played his high school football at Saint Malachy's Memorial High School.  King played for Team New Brunswick in 2013 and then played at Mount Allison from 2014-2018. During his freshman season Sawyer was part of Mount Allison's 2014 undeafeated season which ended in a 2nd straight Loney Bowl. King started coaching youth community football with Fundy minor football in 2017 and he has also been offensive Line Coach with U14 team New Brunswick. This summer King is serving as offensive line coach with New Brunswick's U18 team.

Other notable moves will be Coach Colangelo coordinating special teams in 2019 and Coach Price (Executive Director of football NB) moving over to the defensive side of the ball.
