Gaétan Richard is entering his seventh season as offensive line coach for the Mounties. Over his tenure at Mount Allison, the Mountie's offensive line has shown constant growth and development, helping improve the team's rushing attack the last five seasons. Since 2008, Coach Richard has seen four of his players represent the garnet and gold at the CIS East/West Bowl and in 2010 two offensive linemen were named to the AUS all-conference team, a first time honor for the Mounties. In 2012, offensive lineman Mike Filer was drafted 31st overall by the Calgary Stampeders in the CFL draft.

In the spring, Coach Richard will serve as Head Coach for the Team New Brunswick U18 football program after serving as offensive coordinator for the past two seasons.

Coach Richard was a four year starter at Mount Allison (2003-2007) as center and tackle. He graduated from Mount Allison University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts, Double Major in Psychology and History. He came to Mount Allison in 2003 after graduating from Mathieu-Martin in Dieppe, New Brunswick.

While serving as offensive line coach for the Mounties, Coach Richard also coordinates the team's strength and conditioning program and works as fitness center coordinator for Mount Allison University.
