Fitness Centre: Online Booking

PHASE 3 Protocols (Updated January 4th, 2021):

  1. Please note that it is now mandatory for all FC users to wear masks at all times if our zone is moved to Orange Phase.
  2. In the event of being moved to orange phase, change rooms will not be available to FC users.
  3. For Phase 3 of the Fitness Centre (FC), users now have the option of pre-booking a one hour workout slot or coming to the FC as a drop-in user. There are no spots protected for drop-in users, these will only be made available if there are still spots free for the applicable hour. As a result, we still recommend that FC users pre-book their workout slots.
  4. During Phase 3, The FC is now available to all current MTA students, faculty and staff and members of the public who have FC memberships. If our zone is moved to Orange Phase, access will be restricted to MTA students, faculty and staff only.
  5. When you arrive for your session, you will need to check in at the reception desk, show ID and provide a contact phone number for tracing purposes.
  6. Change rooms are available with a maximum occupancy of 2 people at once. Users are encouraged to come with workout gear on.
  7. The hour will begin at the start of the booked time, not when the user arrives. At the conclusion of the booked hour, the user will be required to leave to make room for the next booked hour. As an example, if a session runs from 10AM-11AM and a user arrives at 10:47AM, they will still be required to leave at 11AM.
  8. The information in point #5 above applies equally to drop-in users (eg. if you arrive at 10:55AM for the 10:15AM session, you will still be required to leave at 11:15AM.)
  9. Users can book a session starting 3 days in advance of the scheduled session and no closer than 1 day in advance of the session they intend to book.
  10. Users are required to have a personal mask when arriving at the FC and will not be granted access without one. Masks are required at all times while in the FC.

  12. To book a workout time, please consult the available sessions below and then send an email to fitness@mta.ca requesting the date and session time you would like to book. You will receive a confirmation email back indicating that you are booked.
  13. In the event that you cannot attend your scheduled time, you must contact fitness@mta.ca so they are aware. Failure to do this may lead to a suspension from booking.
